Skye really does look like a magical place. The largest of the Inner Hebrides, a group of islands off the west coast of Scotland, is home to Scotland's most iconic landscapes. Whether you are on a road trip through Scotland for a few days or whether you are here for a longer period. The island continues to surprise you. With mountain passes, miles of coastline and an impressive history. Off to adventure!
The landscape you encounter will definitely leave an impression on you. If you drive around in a car or camper you will already encounter typical features of Skye. You can see the Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing and the Cuillin. In addition to driving around, this area is ideal for hiking. So don't forget to bring good shoes.
After a busy day full of impressions and after a long hike / walk, the villages and towns are to spend the evening. Enjoy local dishes in restaurants and round off the evening in a typical Scottish pub. For the whiskey fanatics you can taste the local malt whiskey. I prefer to stick to local (non-alcoholic) beers.
