I would like to experience this mystical and almost enchanting nature spectacle up close. Watching for hours at a dark place, where there is nothing to see. Until all kinds of different colours and shapes emerge. This seems to me to be a special experience.
The Northern Lights are also sometimes referred to as the aurora, because this natural spectacle can only be seen around the poles. The best places to spot the Northern Lights are the north of Norway, Sweden and Finland, i.e. throughout Lapland. But also on Iceland and Greenland you have a great chance to admire this special spectacle. And sometimes, very sometimes, you can catch a glimpse of the aurora from Netherlands!
